Retired FDNY Firefighter Michael J. Leamy of Ladder Company 111 passed of 9-11 related cancer on July 23, 2018. Mike was a amazing guy, mentor, brother and Vietnam Veteran. Mike will forever be remembered as a hero in many folks eyes. Retiring in 90's and when 9-11-01 happened he grabbed his old gear and headed to the World Trade Center. We will never forget Mike Leamy. Mike was known to the guys around him as "Scar" when he was on the job. Mike worked with some of the legends in the FDNY. His memory lives on and his life will forever be remembered for his kind heart and words of wisdom.

Mike served in Ladder 108, 146 and spent 90% of his career in Ladder 111, known as the "Nut House". Mike was instrumental in the "Nut House" patch design.
